Satyendra Pakhalé receives NRI Institute Awards

Satyendra Pakhalé has been awarded the Bharat Samman Award 2013 and the NRI Award 2012 for exemplary achievements.

The Rt. Hon. Baroness Verma presented the awards to Mr. Pakhalé in New Delhi, India. Mr. Pakhalé was also invited to give a talk during the NRI Seminar ‘Advantage India’, where he spoke about ‘Challenges Facing the Industrial Sectors in India and Abroad’.

The NRI (Non Resident Indian) Institute aims to provide a platform for the Indians living in India and abroad, promoted NRI investments in India, highlights the achievements of the NRI’s an PIO’s (Person of Indian Origin) in their chosen field of activities and paves the way in this regard with an effective approach towards the Government and other authorities.

Industrial Designer Satyendra Pakhalé, born in India now lives and works from Amsterdam. He completed his Degree in Engineering and a Masters in Design from India, and studied Advanced Product Design in Switzerland. In 1998 he set up his own design practice in Amsterdam. Renowned companies such as Cappellini, Bosa, Colombo Design, Magis, Offecct,  Alessi and Tubes rank among his clients. Pakhalé works in wide range of disciplines, synthesizing new applications of material & technologies with great ingenuity. He is represented by gallery//gabrielle ammann , Cologne, Germany. His works are in several public collections, among others Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam and Centre Pompidou, Paris.
