Newsletter #222

This week on Design.nl, guest writer Jeroen Junte travels to the Slovenian biennial of design BIO in Ljubljana where an exhibition curated by Organisation in Design founders investigates new perspectives on design. The late Ed Annink is just one of the designers who participated in "Chairs For Charity", an auction of specially designed chairs by top name designers that will be auctioned off this October 10th to raise money for various charities. We catch up with Henny van Nistelrooy, Anne de Grijff and Lex Pott who are each participating in the second edition of Beijing Design Week. We travel to East-Berlin where brother Blom & Blom are rescuing abandoned factory lights to keep the heritage alive and we look at how the power of text can influence our consciousness in KOP's latest exhibition Oneliners. And finally we have been experimenting with the camera over the past two weeks and are happy to present to you our very first episode of design.nl TV direct from the opening of the Stedelijk Museum.
