This week on Design.nl we chat to designer Marjan van Aubel about her latest project Current Table. The table illustrates how technology and solar energy can be integrated in our daily lives while remaining a desirable design object. Timo de Rijk has yet again ignited a great debate in Dutch design. The focus of his wrath this time is Marcel Wanders, but not everybody agrees with him. Dutch fashion designer Jan Taminiau has been announced as the winner of the Modint Grand Seigneur award for his contributions fashion. Also this week we look forward to Design Days Dubai where artists Studio Drift will present their latest incarnation of lighting installation Fragile Futures III.
