Newsletter #276

After the holiday break Design.nl is back this week with news from the Royal Academy of Arts, the Hague where forty young photography students offer their interpretation on the theme Transition. Saltystock is a new online platform aiming to break through the sea of boring imagery found on the internet and in publications. A community of illustrators offer a fresh perspective on stock images. Design.nl visited C-Mine in Genk where the seventh Triennial of Design was held centred around the theme Conflict and Design. Also this week we speak with Sabine Marcelis and Brit van Nerven about their collaboration Seeing Glass which has just been taken into production and we learn how nature’s hidden inner workings can be transformed into a thing of beauty courtesy of Kasia Zareba.
