This week on Design.nl we talk to Grace Lees-Maffei, new head of the Design Cultures Masters' programme at the Vrije University and ask fashion designer Pauline van Dongen how she sees her role in the Dutch fashion scene. We travel to Belgium where Z33 has a beautiful jewellery exhibition with a somewhat mysterious story behind it and have two announcements. From this year, Amsterdam Fashion Week has its very own title sponsor in the form of Mercedes-Benz and a new crowdfunding platform with a difference will launch next week during Dutch Design Week: CrowdyHouse. We also hear what head of The New Institute, Guus Beumer has been revealing to the mainstream press in the Netherlands about his organization's future.
