This week on Design.nl Aldo Bakker's porcelain collection for French company Sèvres is currently on show in France. We talk with Bakker about his love affair with his favourite material and his enduring fascination with deepening his understanding of traditional shapes. Arnhem-based designers Studio Hands create original branded merchandise for Electric Deluxe by sending visuals through soundwaves and one of Design.nl's favourites, Jorge Mañes, has come up with another fascinating social design project - this time his subject is the tortured Pacific island of Nairu. Also this week we talk to Willem de Kooning academy graduate Suzanne van Beest about her project inspired by the octopus.
