Newsletter #157
Only time will tell how the Dutch Design Quality Mark fares. Launched last week, the industry's reaction is mixed. In New York, an exhibition is rediscovering the 'ancient' material ceramics in jewellery design, and on the other side of the scale KOP is focussing on a very contemporary subject matter: Facebook. Also, this year in Milan, Tuttobene will focus on sustainability, particularly for large scale and industrial production. On the agenda, two anniversary exhibitions. One to celebrate five years of the Dick Bruna House, the other marking ten years of Designws.com.
Tuttobene Milan
Now in its eighth year, Tuttobene will present a crop of Dutch designers who are out to prove that industrial design can have a more sustainable production process.
