For the first time in seven years the FITC event will be held outside America, this time in Amsterdam. For two days in February, technology in design and art will be explored through lectures, workshops and panels.
"Amsterdam is the perfect place to launch FITC in Europe," says Shawn Pucknell, Founder of FITC. “We are looking forward to presenting a highly immersive and unique experience for attendees, one where they can learn new techniques, try new technologies, and rub elbows with the stars of the creative technology industry.”
Apart from the new location, FITC Amsterdam will also bring together, for the first time, the creators of Papervision 3D, an open source 3D engine. Team members John \m/ Grden (USA), Ralph Hauwert (The Netherlands), Tim Knip (The Netherlands), and Carlos Ulloa (UK) will present a workshop focused on this new application.
Participating designers and developers from the Netherlands include:

- Rogier Hendriks and Harm Van Zon -- partners at Amsterdam creative studio ONESIZE
- Joost Korngold -- freelance Graphic Designer/Director
- Bobby van der Sluis -- author and designer/developer at the award-winning creative agency Refunk
