An astounding 27 Dutch entries were awarded the prestigious red dot award: communication design for 2008.

Will a Dutch studio win the new award, red dot: design agency of the year?

Congratulations to all the Dutch winners of this year's red dot award: communication design. This year saw almost 6000 submissions from 39 countries compete for awards in 12 categories. Out of those entries, 343 received red dot awards and further 38 entries received a red dot: best of the best award. For the first time, the red dot: design agency of the year will be awarded to honour an agency or a design studio for particularly continuous and innovative design performance in the field of communication design. The announcement of this final award be held at the gala awards ceremony on 3 December in Essen, Germany. All winners will be exhibited at the red dot design museum in Essen from 4 December until 11 January 2009.

There were 27 Dutch entries awarded this year, and a further 3 awards given to projects created by German studios but with a Dutch client. The Dutch winners are:
