As per 1 September 2010, Dingeman Kuilman will leave his current position as Director of Premsela Dutch Platform for Fashion and Design. He has been appointed as the new chairman of the executive board of ArtEZ Academy of Art and Design.
Kuilman has been director of Premsela Dutch Platform for Fashion and Design since 2003. Under his leadership, Premsela as a sector institute, has been recognized with a place in the basic cultural infrastructure of The Netherlands. The role of Premsela is to improve the cultural climate for design in the Netherlands, striving to create opportunities for the growth of Dutch design from a cultural angle of approach.

Recently, Kuilman was initiator of the four-year strategic program Dutch Fashion Design Architecture (DutchDFA) where sector institutes and industry associations in design, fashion and architecture collaborate to strengthen the international position of The Netherlands as a design country.
Finally, Kuilman was involved in the setting up of the Premsela Department at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam dedicated to the scientific study of the cultural aspects of design and fashion.
Premsela will soon begin the process of appointing a new director.
