A staggering amount of products that no man can process in barely a week's time. That is why, during the very first edition of Design Matters, you will get an overview of the best, worst, most beautiful, ugliest, weirdest and most common creations from that design fair. In addition, we will search for an answer to the burning question: What are the latest trends?

Design critic Jeroen Junte spoke to numerous designers, editors, museum curators, producers and other professionals. On stage, designers Dirk van der Kooij, Irma Boom and Frederik Roijé (art director New Duivendrecht) will be interrogated about their recent work. In addition professionals such as Anne van der Zwaag (author Kleur in Beeld), Dick Dankers (Frozen Fountain), Aad Krol (Galerie Vivid), Mary Hessing (editor in chief Eigen Huis & Interieur), Annemartine van Kesteren (curator Museum Boijmans van Beuningen) and Margo Konings (Organisation in Design/ Lambrate) will tell about their highlights and lows in Milan.  

Design Matters is a new bimonthly live magazine in Pakhuis De Zwijger with a keynote speaker, interviews, columns, visual presentations and debate. Content and presentation are in hands of Jeroen Junte, author of the book Hands On: Dutch design in the 21st century and journalist for de Volkskrant, Het Financieele Dagblad, Architectuur NL and Frame.
