Where most travel guides give you the perspective of the city from a fixed standpoint, the cosmopolitan traveller's guide to Amsterdam will show you the real capital as seen through the eyes of editors, designers and fashionista's alike.

The handy pocket-sized Inspirational Guide for Cosmopolitan Travellers (Liganova, Frame Publishers) features an overview of the best and trendiest shops, interior design stores and galleries Amsterdam has to offer, alongside a quirky 14-step guide to recognizing whether you're a real Amsterdammer - as the inhabitants of the city are more commonly known - or yet have some bikes to be stolen.

A number of visually pleasing full-colour photos of the shops and gallery interiors - accompanied by visiting address - adorn pages  throughout the book, giving the reader a taster of what's in store upon their visit to Holland's capital city.

The chapter Mijn Amsterdam features 15 contributors from the world of fashion, design and publishing who give their personal view of the best places to wine and dine, the most legendary club nights and their favourite shopping walhallas.

With the likes of Editor in Chief of Frame Magazine, Robert Thieman, fashion photographer Reinier van der Aart, not to mention design-duo Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings contributing their personal favorites, Inspirational Guide for Cosmolitan Travellers is bound to reveal some hidden gems among the bustling city streets of Mokum, Damsco or Mijn Amsterdam - as the locals love to call it.
